I especially adore their cool outfits. Isobel wore a tulle sleeved gown and delicate shoes by WWW fave Rainbow Club. Meanwhile, Greg opted for a green check suit with tan accessories, very dapper indeed. Thanks to Beans On Toast For Two for sharing these fantastic images which I urge you to check out below. Enjoy it all.

We got engaged on 21st November 2020 at Arley Arboretum, Greg knew I loved nature and autumn so he made sure it was somewhere with autumn leaves and a beautiful setting.

He used the famous shoelace tying trick to get down on one knee and very quickly with nerves asked to marry me. Afterwards, we had lunch sat by the Italian water fountain.

With Covid our vision changed slightly from an ornate estate house with lots of old building features of a library and open top floor to a whimsical romantic garden themed wedding.

Green and gold was the theme as it was so glamorous and ornate as I loved the colour green and loved lots of greenery and gold complemented it so well. I wanted lots of handmade decorations as I love DIY and wanted to mix glam and a garden party together.

We got married the day before at Solihull Registry Office as part of our stretched out two-day wedding celebrations. The venue the day after started off as a whimsical garden wedding for our ceremony with a white marquee and had afternoon tea then finished off for our meal outside under a marquee at The Fox inn Stourton.

As I am a picky person when it comes to what I wear I knew I’d struggle to find something for myself in budget but also different from other dresses that were available.  As none of the wedding shops were open I went online and decided to go on Etsy to see what I could find from my favourite shop.

I came across a bridal page and saw some amazing dresses with the exact features I wanted which were: flowy sleeves cuffed at the wrist, fitted body and a simple design all over.  I took a risk as I loved it so much I bought it, sent the details off for my measurements and had it handmade all the way from the bridal shop, located in Russia. It was as I imagined my dress.

My jewellery was my grandmas Pearl necklace and mom’s Pearl earrings as I love having sentimental bits on my wedding day.  My hair and makeup were styled as 1920’s glam hair and soft glam makeup done by my sister who works in the hair and beauty world.

Greg’s suit was green with a slight checker pattern from Skopes, with a dark green tie and tan leather brown belt and shoes.  He bought these online as none of the shops were open due to lockdown as well but suited him all the same perfect for our special day.

And as my wedding day present to Greg I bought him personalised socks with my face on so everyone would know who his wife is, to make up for the embarrassment I also bought him a personalised watch with our wedding date on.

We had our registry office ceremony at Solihull with both parents and both mom’s side of Grandparents as this was what we were allowed for the restrictions. Our religious ceremony the day after was held in our garden and I walked down the aisle to one of our songs called “Now we are one”.

They are both so talented and are a credit to have for anyone’s wedding.  We felt like they were old friends we hadn’t seen in a while as they made us all feel so relaxed and didn’t even feel like they were there with their cameras.

The decorations were a handmade archway decorated in fresh marsh flowers and lots of greenery. The marquee had greenery and fairy lights and white ribbon all the way around and a mini white lampshade hanging from above us.

We had a gold ornate mirror as our wedding sign written with white pen and cream chairs with Mr and Mrs signs hanging on the back of our chairs. An afternoon tea table with china and a cake table with a vase of flowers on. The cake was a naked cake decorated with dried fruit, macaroons and a personalised wedding sign saying ‘Greg and Belle’, all done by a family relative called Jenny.

Our theme was green and gold with hints of white and pink.  My flowers were designed with the idea of country romance in mind with light pink and white avalanche roses, eucalyptus, white carnations, ammi, stocks, lilac statice and eryngium. Our ring box was borrowed from my mom and dad as it was their wedding ring box.

Our honeymoon started with two nights in Worcestershire in the town in a newly styled studio apartment. Then we spent a week in a converted barn in Truro, Cornwall with a hot tub and log burner to make us feel cosy and enjoy our time together.

We then spent another week in a family caravan in Rock, Cornwall where we enjoyed walks to lighthouses, beach days in Polzeath, boat rides in Foye, shopping trips in Padstow and meals out every night by the sea. Even with eating outside at night, being cold and windy, we still enjoyed every meal and enjoyed our best time together.

Do what you want whether it’s a normal wedding day or something that you’ve never heard of before. Have as many outfits as you want, we had two each and added to the excitement. Make everything sentimental as it involves you and your family bringing you together as a unit.
