How Many Wedding Proposals Are Made During Valentine’s Day?

Valentine's Day is a popular day for making romantic gestures, and marriage proposals are no exception. In 2023, it's estimated that hundreds of thousands of people worldwide will pop the question on this special day.

While there are no exact figures available, data from previous years can provide some insight into the number of proposals made on Valentine's Day. In 2021, for example, a survey conducted by the National Retail Federation found that around 10 million people

in the United States were planning to propose or expected to be proposed to on Valentine's Day. This was a slight increase from the previous year, despite the pandemic.

The same survey also revealed that millennials (ages 25-34) were the most likely group to propose on Valentine's Day, with 31% of respondents falling into this age range.

Men were also more likely to propose than women, with 11% of male respondents saying they planned to propose, compared to just 3% of women.

Of course, these figures only represent a small portion of the total number of proposals made on Valentine's Day, as not everyone who plans to propose will take part in a survey.

It's also worth noting that not all proposals are successful, and some couples may choose to get engaged at a different time of year.

Overall, while there's no way to know exactly how many wedding proposals will be made on Valentine's Day 2023, it's safe to say that it will be a significant number.

After all, what better way to celebrate a day dedicated to love and romance than by taking the next step with the person you love?
