1. Start by trimming down your flowers. With this rose, I needed to strip off the green leaves surrounding the bud and then I peeled off some of the outer flowers that weren't perfectly white. Leave about an inch of stem on the rose so you have something to pin the boutonniere to your groom's suit.

2. Layer the flat green leaf, then the rosemary, and then the rose on top. Position them roughly how you'll want them to sit as your boutonniere. 3. Use the florist tape to wrap the flowers together tightly. Cover the florist tape with ribbon and secure it with tape at the back or with a little dab of hot glue.

4. Once you've covered the florist tape with ribbon, you're ready! You can store your boutonnieres in the fridge overnight. Bear in mind some flowers will hold up better without water for 24 hours - some more delicate flowers will need to be prepared on the day by a helpful family member! Don't forget to assign someone to pin the boutonnieres on your groom and groomsmen - they might be a little too nervous to remember to do it themselves!
